What we collect and why

If you enquire about locksmith work, we receive the contact details, postcode and service information you choose to send. We use these to respond, assess availability, prepare a quote and, if agreed separately, arrange the job. These steps are taken at your request before entering a contract, or to perform an agreed contract.

We may also retain information needed to meet legal obligations or handle complaints and legal claims. Please do not send payment card details, access codes, identity documents or sensitive customer information through the enquiry form.

How the website forms work

When you send the website enquiry form, Contact Form 7 processes your details in WordPress and passes the enquiry to the website’s configured mail service or email provider for delivery to us. Sending an enquiry does not confirm a booking. The separate email and WhatsApp links remain alternative contact methods: they open your chosen app, where you review and send the message. Email and WhatsApp providers process information under their own terms and privacy notices.

Service providers and sharing

Hosting providers process technical requests needed to display the website. Google processes email sent to our Gmail address and map requests when a page containing the embedded Google Map is opened. WhatsApp processes messages you send through its service. We share job information only where needed to handle your request, deliver agreed work, meet a legal obligation or respond to a complaint.

Google and WhatsApp may process information outside the UK. Their privacy notices explain the locations, transfer arrangements and safeguards for their services. See Google’s privacy notice and WhatsApp’s privacy notice.

How long information is kept

Retention depends on the purpose: dealing with your enquiry, completing an agreed job, handling a complaint and meeting applicable record-keeping obligations. Contact us to ask about the retention period that applies to your information. We do not use this website to build advertising profiles.

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your information, and object to certain processing. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it. Contact us using the details above. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Cookies and maps

The site’s own code does not store enquiry form details or use its own advertising or analytics cookies. Google Maps is embedded on the Reading and contact pages and loads automatically when those pages open.
