Enquiries and availability

OpenNow Locksmiths provides a contact route for locksmith services in Reading and the surrounding area. Calling, emailing or completing a form is an enquiry. A visit or job is confirmed only when the scope, availability and relevant terms have been agreed with you.

Quotes and payment

Services start from £50. This is not a fixed charge for every job. The total depends on the work, parts, location and timing. Ask for the full total, including any call-out, travel or out-of-hours charges, before agreeing to proceed. Any change to the agreed scope or price must be discussed first.

Arrival estimates

Typical Reading response is 30–60 minutes within approximately 20 miles of the main base, subject to traffic, location and availability. It is an estimate, not a guarantee.

Authority to access

You must be entitled to request access or changes to the property or vehicle. Appropriate evidence of identity or authority may be requested. Locksmith services cannot be used to evade another person’s lawful rights.

Cancellation and urgent work

Your cancellation rights depend on how and when the contract is made and the work you request. Information about the applicable rights must be provided before the job is agreed. If you request work to begin during a cancellation period, the relevant consent and payment arrangements must be explained.

A limited exception can apply to visits you specifically request for urgent household repairs or maintenance. It does not automatically cover additional non-urgent work or unnecessary extra goods. Nothing in these terms removes your statutory rights.
